'Shame' is definitely now in the Conversation...and that's good

Last week was a week of 'Shame' and 'Honour' articles turning up all over the place.

I received emails from various newsletters in recent days etc directing me to no less than  8 articles in one week!

They are filled with lots of food for thought about these issues in our world today - the Western world in particular.  These are issues that have very much been a part of everyday life in our part of the world. Now the 'West' is starting to feel their impact a bit more heavily as the reality of 'Mis-placed Shame' begins to seep into a society that is more than ever seeking its identity in the eyes of people and society and social media rather than in the eyes of God.

These issues are not about to go away anytime soon...

Here are the links to the articles which I encourage you to take a look at:

to:
- an article in Christianity Today on the Shame associated with abortion that is more prevalent in the church than we might like to think

- an article on the right kind of honour to give the President - and any Government

- a blog post commenting on the issues of social media shaming  and outrage by a Professor of English at Liberty University

and of course don't forget the whole Jan/Feb issue of Missions Frontiers magazine that has an article I contributed along with many other excellent articles
