New house butterfly surprises!

Those who have been regular readers of this blog, will know how much my butterfly-watching has featured over recent years when we were living in the bush.

When we moved house a couple of months back, I fully expected to possibly not see anymore butterflies. It felt like part of what moving meant we had to give up.

However, God brought butterfly surprises to us!

In the first few weeks there didn't seem to be any butterflies and the only birds seemed to be sparrows and pigeons/doves.

But, as time passed, we have had new birds come (including the beautiful sunbirds) and some lovely butterflies…one morning I spotted 3 different ones including two I didn't often spot even in the bush and I managed to photograph them!

So it will be interesting to see what others come over time as they discover the flowers in our garden as the garden building slowly takes shape.  Although we had to pull down (dig up) almost the entire garden at the house in the bush (since even as tenants here what you plant you are entitled to take when you move on), it has given us an almost instant garden to plant here at the new house…and with the landlord's enthusiastic support!

So be encouraged as we were….God is full of unexpected surprises….when we think we have to let go of things to step forward in His will, He will have new blessings just around the corner!
