Our Garden is still filled with Butterflies!
When I think I must have seen all the butteflies that live in our bush, I see even more new ones! It really is amazing to just take a short wander in our garden and find 5 new butterflies one day and 3 more new ones two days later! Here they are….be in awe of the Creator once again with me !
First of all, I thought I'd share a photo of the 'Common Diadem' featured in the previous post but this time with his 'blue' much more visible in the sunlight, as I saw him today.
Then to the new ones….
First up is a 'Common Joker'
- I thought all the butterflies that looked like this were the same but as my 'butterfly' knowledge and curiosity is growing I discovered that this is the 'Common Joker', as it is without a line of tiny spots of the 'Spotted Joker' (bottom photo). We have both in prolific numbers in our garden as you could see in the first photo above.
And the beautiful 'Violet Tip'
And the 'Borbo Skipper'
And the 'Sulphur Orange Tip'
And the 'African Migrant'
And the tiny 'Black Striped Hairtail' (you can even see his spiraled tongue out in this photo!)
(nose to tail he is only just over 1cm in length)
And the 'Brown Playboy' (top)
(as he shared the flowers with two other types of butteflies - the lower one although white on the outside had something very pretty to reveal on the inside!)
And the 'Southern Sapphire' on the inside!
I wonder how many more news ones I'll spot in the next few days!
